Ten Hag trusts ´life coach´ to reinspire Sancho and lift Man Utd

Jadon Sancho is unlikely to feature when Manchester United host Nottingham Forest as Erik ten Hag hopes performance psychologist Rainier Koers can help to revitalise the winger.

Sancho last featured for United in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on October 22 and was absent from Gareth Southgate s England squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

With the former Borussia Dortmund player subsequently left out of United s travelling party for a training camp in Spain, Ten Hag said he was not in the right status or fitness state to participate.

Having secured a place in the EFL Cup quarter-finals by beating Burnley on Wednesday, United return to Premier League action at home to Forest on Tuesday, but Sancho is unlikely to feature.

Tuchel denies having an eye on Real Madrid clash after stunning Brentford reverse

Chelsea s remarkable collapse saw them concede four or more goals at home to a newly promoted side for just the second time in Premier League history, with the previous occasion also coming under Tuchel s management in a 5-2 loss to West Bromwich Albion in April 2021.

With the European champions due to host Madrid in a huge quarter-final con…

Zimbabwe expelled from World Cup preliminaries

FIFA has expelled Zimbabwe from the preliminary rounds of the 2018 World Cup for failing to settle payments owed to former coach Jose Claudinei Georgini.

The Zimbabwe Football Federation (ZIFA) employed the Brazilian coach between January and November 2008.

Georgini subsequently took the issue over non payments to FIFA, who passed a ruling stating that ZIFA must pay up the debt and warned they would face a ban if they refused.

Vinicius calls for patience as Brazil improvements acknowledged

Vinicius Junior acknowledged that he and his team-mates must improve following their goalless draw with Costa Rica in their opening game of the Copa America.

The nine-time champions were frustrated by their opponents at the SoFi Stadium, with Los Ticos becoming only the third CONCACAF side to keep a clean sheet against the Selecao Canarinho at the tournament after Mexico (2001 and 2007) and Honduras (2001).

Brazil registered 19 attempts at Patrick Sequeira s goal, but only three were on target, with Rodrygo (6) and Lucas Paqueta (5) having the majority of those chances.

Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich: Neuer aims to extend record start

Manuel Neuer is determined to bag the full three points when Bayern Munich take on Werder Bremen on Saturday as the Bavarians look to extend their record start.

Pep Guardiola s men have been in sublime form in the opening months of the 2015-16 campaign and headed into the international break with a 100 per cent record after eight games.

We re glad to be back, Neuer told the official Bayern website. We want to carry on where we left off b…

United’s first-half display did little to honour Sir Bobby Charlton – Erik ten Hag

Erik ten Hag admitted Manchester United’s first-half performance in their 2-1 win at Sheffield United was not a fitting way to remember Sir Bobby Charlton.

United are mourning one of their greatest ever players following Charlton’s death aged 86 on Saturday morning and goals from Scott McTominay and Diogo Dalot ensured they remembered him with victory.

But Ten Hag’s side could not be much further away from the one that Charlton famously led to European Cup glory in 1968 as they were lacklustre against a team who have picked up just one point this season.
